1st day

14:00 arrival at hotel, check-in and room accommodation.

15:30 visit of the “Cantina Avide” to know the excellence of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, who was always present at the banquets of the King of the two Sicilies and until just before the Kingdom of Italy.

17:30/18:00 return to the hotel.
20:00 dinner in the historic (since 1896) restaurant “Majore” by Chiaramonte Gulfi.

The Majore restaurant offers a perfect representation of true flavors of tradition with typical gourmet dishes at Chiaramonte Gulfi (RG), based on ancient recipes for cooking the pork. The typical dishes are: risotto alla Majore, cavati alla Norma, ravioli al sugo di maiale, gelatina di maiale, costata ripiena, falsomagro alla siciliana, prosciutto crudo, salame nostrano, salsiccia e capicollo.( (the menu includes 1 starter, 1 first dish and 1 second dish, fruit or dessert of your choice, water ½ and local wine ¼).

Walk in the historic center of Chiaramonte Gulfi.

2nd Day

8:00 Breakfast

9:00 Departure for the places where Montalbano’s finction was turned.

12:00 Arrival in Scicli, meeting with the guide and start of visit at the beautiful baroque palaces.

Scicli has a baroque style, and today belongs to Val di Noto, the valley of the Baroque which has become part of the goods declared by the Unesco World Heritage. Among the civil, military and religious architectures you can remember: Palazzo Beneventano, Church of Santa Maria la Nova, Piazza Italia.

Possibility of lunch or shopping until 14:30

15:15 arrival in Ragusa Ibla, meeting with the guide and start to visit.

There are 14 of the 18 monuments in the city of Ragusa, declared by the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ancient city contains over fifty churches and numerous palaces in Baroque style including some of them like the Church of San Giorgio, the San Giorgio’s portal, the cathedral of San Giovanni.

18:00 departure to the hotel, arriving at 18: 30/18: 45.

20:30 dinner at “Locanda Gulfi”.

The “Locanda Gulfi” restaurant with its sophisticated and well-kept ambience, welcomes its customers for a trip to Sicily’s flavors. The Sicilian cuisine is well known, with all the historical and cultural events that have made the island a magical place, warm and full of surprises. Particular attention is paid to the products of the region, from the meat to the strictly Mediterranean fish, to the vegetables coming from our countryside. Very good selection of products under the Slow-food presidium; from the cheeses to the salami, or the white onion of Giarratana, Avola almond, Bronte pistachios and the extra virgin olive oil produced by lorp.

A remarkable dedication to bread, in the search for ancient grains and native groats that reflect the naturalness and taste of bread once and also thanks to the use of mother’s yeast (the menu includes 1 starter, 1 first dish, 1 second dish, all with fresh seasonal products, ½ water and wine in the wine cellar ¼)

23:00 return to the hotel.

3rd Day

11:00 “Oleificio Gulino” tour (history and tasting of DOP’s of the Iblei Mountains and shopping opportunities)
